Welcome to Glendale Lutheran School
Our preschool through eighth grade students receive an excellent education in a Christ-centered environment. Our certificated teachers guide students in setting and meeting high expectations in all developmental areas: intellectual/academic, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual, using best practices aligned with current research about teaching, learning, and brain development.
Letter from the Principal
April Newsletter
Dear Families,
Alleluia, He is risen! This week the students learned more about Christ’s gift to humanity, with a special Chapel service this morning to participate in the message of Maundy Thursday. Tomorrow school will be closed in observance of Good Friday and then we look forward to a glorious Easter Sunday, as we celebrate Jesus’ triumph over sin and our gift of salvation and eternal life through His sacrifice. I encourage you invite your children to share the Easter story with their family and perhaps even sing one or two of the songs that we learned in Chapel. This is a wonderful time of year for Christians, as we remember all that our Lord has done for us.
We have much to celebrate here at Glendale Lutheran School. Your children are blossoming, learning and applying new skills, growing in poise and confidence, and deepening their faith. Our excellent teachers guide our students daily and through our strong partnership with families, we ensure that all of the children succeed.
We strive to maintain tuition at relatively "affordable rates," and our strong fundraising efforts allow this commitment to continue. Our annual auctions met with great success, thanks to the leadership of our co-chairs, Mrs. Mary Ward and Mrs. Alexis Braga, as well as the many individuals throughout the school who supported these two events. The auctions were a time of celebration of the school, evenings of warm fellowship, and hugely successful as fundraisers, with the final result of surpassing our fundraising goal. We look forward to sharing a detailed outline of the financial status as soon as possible.
During this time of year we rejoice in new life, given to us freely through Jesus Christ. We also rejoice in the many examples of His goodness and provision as we faithfully seek to serve Him by providing an excellent Christ-centered education for His children. We thank you for your friendship, partnership, and support.
May you and your families enjoy a blessed Easter celebration!
